Viñedos de la Reina

Viñedos de la Reina is a winery whose founder, architect Roberto Curiel, dedicated its wines to his wife, according to its website. Its more than 50 hectares are in the Guadalupe and San Vicente valleys. The Valle de Guadalupe vineyard, at km 71 of the Ensenada-Tecate highway, was planted in 2006 with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah on hillsides of granitic, sandy soil. In San Vicente, the first planting, in 2006, was Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. The first bottles came out in 2009 and the winery and its tasting rooms opened in 2017; the winemaker is Héctor Villaseñor. It has a tasting room and, since 2018, the restaurant Salve Asador Campestre.
