Hilo Negro Viñedos y Bodega

Hilo Negro began in the Cofradía del Santo Descorche, a group of wine-loving friends who decided to make their own; the wines are made by winemaker Daniel Lonnberg and, the house says, have won more than 60 awards. Its wines include ZigZag, a Nebbiolo with Syrah; Invisible, a Sauvignon Blanc; Tiara, a Petit Verdot; plus Nido de Abeja, Ribeteado, Tricot and Escala. The tasting room, at kilometre 11 of the Francisco Zarco–El Tigre road in El Porvenir, offers the option of pairing the wines with small bites. It opens Thursday to Monday.
