About Arteaga Valley
The Arteaga Valley lies in southeastern Coahuila, in the Sierra de Arteaga, at about 25°30′ N and 102°20′ W. The valley runs some 40 km north to south and 65 km east to west, with elevations reaching 3,530 metres. Mean annual temperature is 16.3 °C, with average extremes of 27 °C in May and June and 5 °C in December and January, and annual rainfall of 317.8 mm that does not meet the crop’s needs, so growers depend on groundwater.
