Vinos Xecué

Xecué was founded by chemical engineer and winemaker Alberta Ceja and agronomist José Luis Hernández (1947–2026), one of the pioneering agronomists in the Valle de Guadalupe; its tasting room opened in 2005. It is at kilometre 88.9 of Highway México 3, in Valle de Guadalupe, B.C. Its wines, which the house describes as having a 'native soul', carry names such as Kekoo, Koti'p, Kumeey, Konnay and Etnia, alongside a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Malbec, a Merlot, a Reserva and the Aniversario X, and the winery says they have won more than 50 medals. Guided tastings come in three formats: 5 wines (an introduction to Xecué), 4 wines (Cabernet, Malbec, Merlot and Reserva) or 9 wines (all of the house wines). Google lists it as open daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
