Vinícola Château Camou | Viñedo Grandes Vinos Mexicanos

Château Camou is on Camino a la Cañada del Trigo, in the El Porvenir ejido; it was started by Fernando Favela Lozoya and Ernesto Álvarez Murphy, with Víctor Torres Alegre as its first winemaker, and today the Favela family is its sole owner. Its first harvest was in 1995. It farms 20.5 hectares with 10 grape varieties. It makes around 45,000 litres a year, including the Bordeaux-style Gran Vino Tinto and single-varietal Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Grenache and Zinfandel. There are guided tastings at three levels and cellar tours, including a VIP tour that tastes straight from the barrel. It opens 11:00 to 17:00 every day except Tuesday.
