Don Leo

Don Leo is a winery in Parras Huariche, Parras de la Fuente. According to its site, Viñedos Don Leo was created by the family of Don Leo Mendel, a native of Linnich, Germany, who arrived in Mexico in 1938. The vineyard made its first planting in 2000, on one hectare. In 2007 it made its first wine, Don Leo Cabernet Sauvignon / Shiraz. Its wines include Don Leo Pinot Noir, Don Leo Sauvignon Blanc and Don Leo Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva, and under the Linde label, Linde Shiraz and Linde Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery says its Don Leo Gran Reserva 2013, a Cabernet Sauvignon, was awarded at the Concours International des Cabernets as "el Mejor Cabernet Sauvignon del Mundo 2020". Its site offers a 90-minute tour and tasting, Tuesday through Sunday, for $1,000.00 MXN. Its site also lists corporate experiences and lodging. According to its site, children are not admitted.
