Cava Maciel is the winery of Jorge Maciel, who turned to wine after a trip to Italy in 1993 and in 2000 began making it in his parents' garage, guided by winemaker Enrique Ferro. It now receives visitors at its winery in San Antonio de las Minas, in the Valle de Guadalupe, open Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
